To our Fortune Family during this Holiday Season:

The holiday season is a chance to come together and reflect on the past year. While most years are a time of joy, celebration, and a time for family and friends, we know that 2020 also brought many hardships, life lessons, and sacrifices as we battled the COVID-19 pandemic together.

However, with all of the challenges faced in the year 2020, the resilience of our Fortune Family still shines through. This community is relentless in their pursuit of our mission, treating everyday with a high level of importance to make sure our children are competent lifelong learners.

Our parents have humbled us with their unwavering support and passion as they have advocated for their students and Fortune Academy. You have done your part to help protect our students and staff from exposures, and have willingly and honestly followed our health and safety protocols. Fortune has benefitted from this with our extremely low positivity rate, and have closed the first semester with most of our students still coming to campus for in person classes.

Over and over our teachers have stepped up and far surpassed any challenge with their dedication, preparation, and willingness to be on the frontlines so that our students continue to receive the specialized instruction they need to succeed. Again, I am humbled by the can do spirit of our teachers. They are my true heroes. I thank each and every teacher and staff member for their dedication to our students and their commitment to our mission.

As we look forward to 2021, I would like to encourage each of you to look back on your year and take a moment to appreciate every little good experience, no matter how small. I believe that we can find the good in this past year and look forward to the hope of the new year.

Thank you so much for your support this past year. While we have been busy with ever changing circumstances, this Fortune Family has remained as a support system, cheerleading team, and our voice in the community. This year, we are thankful for each and everyone of you. We hope that you have a safe and festive holiday season with your family.
