We have worked hard to seek partnerships and find ways to fund ourselves through contributions in an effort to reach as many students as we possibly can. Your donation matters. Here are a few of the many ways you can give our students a brighter future. 

Donate toward Scholarships – Double your Impact

The Sagamore Scholarship Fund is the single best way to offset tuition for deserving students. Students can apply to receive scholarship support through the Sagamore Institute and Sagamore matches funds to qualifying students at Fortune. 

As a certified Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) of Indiana’s School Scholarship Tax Credit Program, Scholarships for Education Choice is authorized to offer individuals and businesses state tax credits equal to fifty-percent (50%) of the amount donated in order to secure the funding necessary to award scholarships to income-eligible students attending Fortune Academy.

This Scholarship Gifting Organization is the result of the Indiana School Tax Credit Program. The program provides a 50% state tax credit to you on your donation amount. In addition, the donation is eligible for federal deduction if you itemize.

For example, let's say you owe the state $1,500 in taxes. Give a gift of $1,500, and receive $750 back. This cuts your tax bill in half! Some donors may also see a federal tax savings, be sure to consult your adviser. If you are looking for the absolute best way to give to Fortune Academy, this is it.

Annual APPEAL Support

The Annual Appeal Campaign is launched each fall and runs through June 30th to support the Fortune Fund. Parent, Grandparent, Staff, Alumni, Friends of Fortune, and Board member donations are a critical component of Fortune’s growth and development. Tuition is set at the lowest cost possible to make a Fortune education available for more families. Tuition only covers approximately 80% of the true cost of a Fortune education. Donations given annually to the Fortune Fund cover the remaining 20% to continuously strengthen our educational services, which means EVERY gift to the campaign is crucial to enhance each student’s experience in and outside the classroom. The Fortune Fund provides additional financial support throughout the year to advance the school’s mission in all areas and improve the quality of each child’s educational journey.

United Way

Corporate Matching Gifts

Another great option to give is through corporate gift matching programs. Ask your employer if they have a matching gift program to double or even triple your gift. If you already plan on giving, why not have your contribution matched? 

Requesting a matching gift is normally a five-minute process that must be initiated by the donor. You can do this by filling out and submitting a paper match form provided by your employer or through an electronic submission process.
