This summer, we are excited to offer OT/PT and ST therapies through our partnership with Rewired Rehabilitation. Since 2016, Rewired Rehabilitation has been offering client centered, functional therapy services to the Indianapolis area.
Stay sharp stay strong all summer long.
The goal of occupational therapy (OT) is to help children gain independence while also strengthening the development of fine motor skills, sensory motor skills, and visual motor skills that children need to function and socialize.
Physical Therapists (PT’s) are the movement experts. PT services can address a variety of mobility concerns including weakness, decreased flexibility, poor posture, difficulty walking, decreased balance, and pain with movement.
Speech therapy (ST) treats communication challenges, both expressive and receptive, that cause children to have difficulty with verbal communication. Speech therapy also treats oral motor concerns, such as chewing and swallowing, as well as articulation, auditory processing, fluency, executive function and social skills.
Using an Integrated Listening system, the student will work with a trained licensed therapist using a staged approach toward body/mind reintegration. This multi-sensory approach combines sound with movement to increase sensory processing, attention, focus, emotional regulation and higher level cognitive reasoning skills. Our program consists of 4 1:1 sessions per week over the course of 6 weeks. Please visit the website below for a more detailed and complete description of the program.
Gross Motor and Movement Group
Students will spend time with physical therapy staff learning to move for fun using a variety of games and movement styles to assist with improved coordination and body awareness.
