Fortune Academy’s Celebration Ruby Event is one you won’t want to miss! Each year we host an annual gala to bridge the gap between tuition fees and the true costs of our operations. We are a not-for-profit private school and do not receive state or federal funding – and yet - because of our exceptional volunteer base and fundraising outreach, we remain one of the most affordable, nationally recognized, specialized schools for learning differences in the United States.
Monies raised from this fundraiser keep our school running and generate a portion of scholarship dollars for deserving students. It is the generous donations from our community, the support of an army of volunteers, and the backing from corporate and individual participation that fuel our event.
This year’s gala we celebrate our 15th anniversary!
Welcome senior Sydney Snead. Sydney came to Fortune Academy eight years and three school buildings ago as a young fourth grader. Her journey has been threaded with the common themes of fear and uncertainty accompanying most students with learning differences. Sydney has grown up at Fortune Academy and Fortune Academy has matured along with her. With her mother, Sunny, by her side we are proud to highlight Sydney’s accomplishments and successes. Sydney’s perseverance and hard work are taking her to Southeastern University next fall. Her story a glimpse into the lives of all families at Fortune Academy and the bright futures that await them.
