Algebra 1 (Ahearn) -
We will be continuing to work on Exponent Laws , we should be ready for a quiz on Thursday.
Algebra 2 (Ahearn)-
We will be reviewing 4 types of graphing and be ready for a quiz on Tuesday. Then we will get back into story problems using Coins and Consecutive Integers.
We will continue working on operations with radicals, and be ready for a quiz on Thursday.
Pre Calculus (Ahearn)-
We will continue working on composite functions and be ready for a quiz on Thursday.
Paced Algebra 1 Year 2 (Ahearn)-
We will be continuing to review lessons from the fall.
Earth Science (Tulbert)
This week we finished Chapter 19 on the atmosphere and took the chapter test. We will be starting Chapter 20 getting more in depth with the weather. I have asked Conner Prairie to let us come back to do a weather study--we’ll see when we can get that set up--I will need some parents to go with and will keep everyone posted.
We finished Chapter 11 this week, took the chapter test, and are starting Chapter 12 on Stoichiometry--using balanced chemical equations to get the moles, mass, and volume of its components. We will be working on this all next week.
Algebra 1 (Dickison):
We will be continuing to learn systems of equations: substitution.
We will be working on multiplying and simplifying radical expressions.
Paced Algebra Year 1 (Dickison):
We will be graphing lines with the slope-intercept equation.
English 1 (Dickison):
We will be working on writing a script for our PSA (public service announcements). We will be working on writing very concise sentences.
Theater Arts (Pappas):
Students have started writing their “Friday Night Live” sketches for our performance on May 10 at 7:00 PM. They are both writing and directing a sketch, and also performing in a sketch. This includes costume and set design!
Physical Education (Demos)
Students are continuing to learn their bodies during this physical growth time. Students are also being introduced to swimming. In Health on Fridays, we will begin a unit on what topics the students would like to learn.
Everyday Math (Oguss)
We will be doing an overview of Personal Budget related Math. Introduction to Khan Academy videos for individual paced learning.
We will continue work on an operation manual and instructional video for Mr. Vezie’s projection screen system.
